I will collaborate with you to be curious about how you got to this place in your life and what shifts might be possible.

Maybe you feel lonely, sad, worried, or stressed. Maybe world events and injustice are overwhelming and exhausting. Maybe you are looking for more of a sense of purpose in your life. Maybe you are feeling stuck and hoping to view yourself or others in a new way. Maybe you care for an aging parent, are coping with the stress of college life, or are grieving the loss of a loved one. Maybe you simply want to feel better about yourself or your relationships. Whatever the reason you are seeking therapy, it can be hard to take the first step in reaching out. When you are ready, I am willing to listen.

The first time we meet together, I will go over policies, talk with you about your reasons for seeking therapy, and identify potential goals as we determine whether we are a good fit.  I will offer creative ways to look at your life and identity in the context of your embodiment, relationships, culture, and community. I will support your self-work toward exploring your inner and outer worlds. To learn more, you can give me a call at 872.216.0658 or email me at HouptArtTherapy@gmail.com.

Standard Notice, as of January 1, 2022:

“Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges”

Under the No Surprises Act

OMB Control Number 0938-XXXX

Expiration Date 12/31/2022

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
